Don’t Make Me Slap You
Freud posed the question, “What do women want?” I can answer that question. Women want more. More time, more energy, more shoes, more chocolate, more sharing, more money, more power, more freedom, more EVERYTHING.
More money? More power? Some people would call us ambitious, as if that’s a bad thing. Ambition is not bad. There’s nothing wrong with women wanting more — as long as they’re willing to work for it.
There has been a well-intentioned trend in the media to elevate women’s self esteem by giving ourselves false titles – goddesses or divas. The problem with carrying such a title is that deep down we know we’re not goddesses, we’re not divas, we’re not princesses. We are human beings. Men are human beings. Not gods, not princes, not kings. It’s time we realize that being a flawed human being is more than good enough. It’s time we stop bashing each other. Time we stop denigrating the precious resource that is the opposite sex. It’s time we start working together.
Don’t Make Me Slap You is designed to get you more of what you want. And the way to do that is to become the person you want to be to get more of what you want so you can live the life you were meant to live. We’re either moving forward or moving backward. We’re never standing still. Which do you want to do? What are you willing to do to get there?
